Congratulations to Mill Creek Vineyards & Winery for the Best Food & Wine Pairing at the 2014 Battle of the Grill!

Mill Creek served a "New York Lollipop" - a skewered New York Strip with a 5 mushroom ragout, basil aioli and a horseradish cream paired with there 2012 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

***Your Check-In Winery will be emailed to the address you used to purchase the tickets. If you have purchased tickets, but did not get an email, please check your spam folder, afterwhich email jeremy@millcreekwinery.com. If you are purchasing tickets the week of the event, your starting winery will be sent within 24 hours.


The 2nd Annual Battle of the Grill competition will kick off on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 11am to 4pm.  Five participating wineries: Mill Creek Vineyards and Winery, VML Winery, HKG Estate Wines - Hop Kiln Vineyards, Thomas George Estates and Geyser Peak Winery. Each winery will be teaming up with a local chef or caterer to create a one-of-a-kind food and wine pairing. The only criterion is that a grill must be used in creating the food pairing. Event goers will travel from winery to winery as they “Wander the Westside” sampling each pairing to decide which one they perceive as the overall winner. ONLY 300 tickets will be available so don’t wait!!! NO tickets will be sold at the door. Ticket sales end Wednesday, July 16th, 2014. 

Each attendee will be assigned a starting winery location where they will check-in to receive their wine glasses and additional information that will be pertinent for the day of the event. Information containing your starting location will be emailed to each attendee. Attendees will vote via ballot and results will be posted at the end of the day. The winning winery and chef will each get to host the “Battle of the Grill Trophy” in their place of business until the next battle commences. One lucky voter will win a swag bag with logo gear and more from the WRWA participating wineries.  After the event, all attendees will get access to a digital recipe book showcasing the pairings created at each winery. We hope that you will join us for this unique experience!
