2nd Annual "An Afternoon of Jazz" featuring Lawrence Jones

Internationally renowned flutist and saxophonist Lawrence Jones returns to his childhood hometown of Philadelphia for his first stateside performance in a year! Enjoy as Lawrence's friends from the Philly jazz community join him onstage again at New Life United Methodist Church in Drexel Hill, PA.
A graduate of West Philadelphia High school and Berklee College of Music, Lawrence's career includes performances with Gerald Veasley and Grover Washington Jr.. Today, Lawrence is an 20-year expat who resides in the seaside resort town of Brighton, England. He connected with his adopted community, founding the Brighton Jazz All Stars, a jazz cooperative providing concerts and workshops, and delighting audiences for two decades as a premiere musician at The Lion and the Lobster, a popular Brighton pub.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Free street parking is available. There is also a small free parking lot at the church. Please note that the spaces at the rear of the parking lot are designed for 2 cars each. There is also parking across the street at the Hillcrest Elementary School.
SEPTA Bus routes #110 and #111 stop within a 15-20 minute walk of the church.
Is there wheelchair accessibility?
Portions of the church building have varying degrees of accessibility at this time. Contact the organizers directly before purchasing tickets requiring wheelchair accessibility.
- Are discounted tickets available for students?
A limited number of $5.00 tickets will be reserved at the door for students. Students must present their valid school ID to receive the $5.00 ticket price.
