These classes are smaller groups and always taught by Xanthe Milton aka Cookie Girl. In this class you will learn how to correctly flat ice a cupcake with a spatula. You will then pipe impressive small (*flat iced) ‘roses’ and ‘rosettes’ on top of your prepared cupcake. After that you will create a stunning professional finish by decorating your roses with hand piped leaves before finally sprinkling your cupcake masterpieces with fairy dust (also known as edible glitter).
It is essential that you either come to the beginner’s class if you have not already mastered the piped rose effect. If you are not proficient with this then you may be disappointed with your end result.
Make a day of it and also attend the beginners class in the morning. Attendees of both classes are invited to have complementary lunch with Xanthe who will be happy to share any insights to the secret of her success.
