2D CAD Draftsight

This Workshopwill be an introduction to using 2d CAD. We will focus on using Draftsight, a freely available tool that runs on the Windows, Mac and LINUX.
In this class, basic skeching tools will be reviewed. File export and preperation for tool path creation will be the focus for use in the cnc Plasma table and CNC milling machine. The tools we will focus on will allow you to output geometry for projects in 2d and use tools to aid in design.
The goal of the workshop will be to have the attendee be able to get usable manufacturing data from a design.
This workshop requires a an understanding of computers and geometry to be get the greatest value out.

Rob Masek has worked for 10 years in engineering related fields teaching CAD, 3D printing, Reverse Engineering, CAM. He has extensive experience with robotics and mechanical devices.
