27th Congress of IAIP
Mon, Jul 10, 2017, 9:00 AM – Thu, Jul 13, 2017, 1:00 PM CDT
The International Association of Individual Psychology (IAIP) brings people who feel a connection to Alfred Adler’s Individual Psychology together from around the world. IAIP aims to encourage members' unique professional activities, but also supports good fellowship and the integration of members’ individual activities into a common cause.
The primary function and purpose of IAIP is to promote the development of the theory, research, and application of Individual Psychology throughout the world. IAIP is a nonprofit organization that seeks to facilitate international dialogue and cooperation among persons and organizations actively making use of Individual Psychology. Attendance at an IAIP Congress serves the same purpose. By attending the 27th IAIP Congress you will be immersed in a stimulating, growth-oriented international dialogue focused on Individual Psychology and its contemporary applications.
IAIP’s 27th Congress will include a stimulating blend of plenary sessions, panel discussions and individual sessions. The theme for IAIP 2017, “Inferiority Feelings: New Manifestations and New Approaches”, will provide the backdrop for an exciting opening event, four plenary sessions, nine panel presentations and 56 breakout sessions. All components of IAIP 2017 will be cohesive and well-integrated, and designed to stimulate thought and ongoing dialogue.
Pre-Congress Date: Sunday, July 9, 2017
The IAIP 2017 Congress will include a Pre-Congress, hosted by the Adler Graduate School (AGS). Spend the day at AGS and take part in intimate, small-group workshops and presentations – learning opportunities that are consistent with the 27th IAIP Congress theme, “Inferiority Feelings: New Manifestations and New Approaches”, and, thus, provide excellent preparation for the Congress.
Adler Graduate School Reception Date: Sunday, July 9, 2017
Join us for a social hour with dinner and a reception held at the Adler Graduate School following the Pre-Congress workshops. If you are arriving on Sunday we are minutes from the airport and will provide transportation to your hotel after the reception. Tour the Adler Graduate School, meet faculty, students and the 2017 IAIP Planning Committee.
Boat Trip Date: Tuesday, July 11, 2017
Join us for a dinner cruise on the mighty Mississippi River between Minneapolis and St. Paul! We will sail through the locks that allow boats to navigate the river as it heads to the Gulf of Mexico.
