Event Details

On-line registration is now closed. You may register at Packet Pick-up (December 2nd) from 11am  - 6:00pm at the National Guard Armory - 245 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464  or on Race Day (December 3rd) outside of Lagunitas Taproom from 7:00-8:30 AM.  We highly recommend registering at Packet Pick-up. 

 

Kick off the holiday season by joining us for jolly jog or jaunt (5K - 3.1 miles) through the streets of downtown Charleston!  This event is for reindeer of all fitness levels.  There will be awards for kids 6 & under and adults to 99. If your Reindeer isn't as fit as Rudolph, walk the course and enjoy all the festivities along the way.  Either way, dress in your holiday costumes to win fabulous prizes!  After the run, join us for festivities including music, food and drinks, as well as visits from Santa Claus, Rudolph and friends! The Reindeer Run welcomes dogs, strollers, wagons and wheelchairs, but all must start at the back of the pack as a courtesy to competitive runners.

Registration fees increase on November 19th. Online registration closes at 12:00pm on Thursday December 1st. If you would like to register after this time, you may do so in person at Packet Pick-up on Friday, December 2nd (Mt. Pleasant National Guard Armory 245 Mathis Ferry Road) between 11:00am-6:00pm. You may also register race day morning from 7:30-8:30am at the start line in front of Lagunitas Taproom and Beer Sanctuary on East Bay St., but please note that all registrations on race day will be $50. T-shirts and race bags are available as supplies last on race day. Because the primary purpose of this event is to raise money for charity, we do not provide refunds.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

A legal ID is required to consume alcoholic beverages.

 

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking information will be posted closer to the event.

 

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please do not bring backpacks or other large bags. We do not provide storage areas.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we just need your name to look up your registration.

 

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Race bibs are non-transferrable. Please do not race under someone else's name and registration information.

The proceeds from the Reindeer Run are benefitting the campaign for the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital and the Charitable Society of Charleston Endowment with the Coastal Community Foundation. These funds have played a major role in facilitating the development of programs within the Children's Hospital and the Darby Children's Research Institute and will help fund a new state-of-the-art hospital in downtown Charleston.
