Four-Round, Swiss-System Chess Tournament (no elimination), Game/25 minutes plus 5-second time-delay per player, per move (30 minutes per player if not using a delay clock), in the Third Floor and Fourth Floor Conference Centers of the historic New Yorker Hotel, 481 Eighth Avenue at 34th Street, across the street from Penn Station (near 33rd Street PATH trains), New York City!

Bonus Prizes awarded to the four top-scoring male/female teams in all sections, but the average rating of the two players must be Under 2200!
Teammates may play in different sections-- no age restrictions!
Father/daughter, brother/sister, wife/husband, aunt/nephew, friend/friend, friend/enemy, enemy/enemy teams are all welcome--
team possibilities are limited only by your imagination
(but sorry, no pets)!
Teams must declare by Round 2 (teammate pairings will be avoided but are possible).
THERE IS NO EXTRA CHARGE TO ALSO REGISTER AS A MIXED DOUBLES TEAM!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE ON A TEAM TO PLAY IN THE TOURNAMENT!

Two separate playing options!
7:00 PM Schedule: all 4 games are Game/25 + 5-second-delay (delay clocks) or Game/30 + 0-second delay (non-delay clocks). On-site registration ends Thursday 6:30 pm.
Round times: Thursday 7:00 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:45 pm and 11:00 pm.
7:30 PM Schedule (Round 1 only is Quick-rated (Game/15 (plus 3-second delay), and then your score in Round 1 carries over into Round 2 at 8:30 pm! On-site registration ends 7:15 pm.
Both schedules merge and compete for the same prizes within each section.
On-site registration is only for players who have not registered in advance! Players who have already registered in advance DO NOT also need to register on site-- just be at the tournament in time for your first game!

Official July USCF ratings (and CCA minimum ratings, if any) used, except unoffical ratings at uschess.org are usually used for players who would otherwise be unrated. Adjustments are added to FIDE, foreign and other ratings at the Tournament Director's discretion. If one of the two Mixed Doubles teammates is unrated, then the average rating of the Mixed Doubles Team is just the rating of the rated player.
Current U.S. Chess Federation membership is required to participate (in any USCF-rated tournament), and membership dues may be paid when registering for tournament.
