Description

Election night is almost here which means it is time for the 25th Annual Chicken Pilau Dinner at the Thomas County Museum of History sponsored by Thomasville National Bank. Prepared and served on the Museum grounds over open fire in cast iron kettles, proceeds from this traditional southern supper supports the programs and preservation of our community’s rich history.

Held every year on Election Night, this year’s event will be held Tuesday November 7. Dinner will be served from 4:30pm-7pm. Tickets go on sale Monday October 16th and will be available online and at the Museum. Diners may choose to eat-in or take-out their dinners. Tickets are $8 each and plates include: pilau, coleslaw, pickles, crackers, and dessert.

Do not miss this Thomasville tradition! Preparing and serving the Pilau dinner is a great opportunity to work with other members of the Society and community. If you would like to participate as a volunteer at this fun event, please call the Museum or e-mail us at history@rose.net. The Thomas County Museum of History is located at 725 N. Dawson St. in Thomasville. The Museum grounds and historic buildings, including log house and bowling alley, will be open for touring during the event.
