24EQ Conference presents Yasuhiro Tanabe...

Now is the Era of EQ 3.0 in Japan!
How has "EQ" been diffused in business field in Japan?

In July of 1996, EQ arrived in Japan running a year behind the U.S. It was sensational. Goleman's book expressed what the people in the business field have been trying to say for years. With its publication, many related books followed in Japan. Each focused and explained the importance of  EQ.

However, during this time, Japan's economy was amidst recession because of the burst of the "bubble" economy, companies struggled with this obstacle. They sought to move away from a seniority-based salary system to a performance-based one. They also pushed for lay-offs. And, they tried to seek for a remedy, a "miracle cure", for a highly effective HR development program.

Has EQ training truly helped improve company performance? Now that we're entering the third decade of EQ, can we draw on the successes of the 90s and 00s to realize the full power of emotional intelligence in Japan?

In this webinar, you will:

  • learn the history of how EQ spread in Japan.
  • know what the companies have been attempting.
  • be inspired with ideas on how EQ training, especially 6seconds programs, will influence future HR development programs for companies in Japan.
