Event description

Description

Perspectives is designed to serve as a forum for problem solving around issues of adults with ASD living as adults (whether alone, with roommates, or under their parents’ roof). They have the opportunity to discuss with peers with ASD, to provide a different perspective on a problem, as well as to explore concepts of life in general. In this safe forum, adults are encouraged to see their problem from another’s perspective, encouraging flexibility in problem solving.

Please note, parents cannot attend this support group.

*Participation requires a recommendation from your coordinator, high functioning ASD, Asperger’s or PDD-NOS diagnosis, graduated high school, over 18 years old, independent functioning in public, able to safely participate in group, desire to socialize with others while attending, psychologically sound (no Baker Acts for aggression or self harm for at least 3 months), able to participate without parent supervision/participation.
