21st NCBW Madam C.J. Walker Luncheon & Empowerment Forum

Join the National Coalition of 100 Black Women | Oakland/Bay Area Chapter for our 21st Annual Madam C.J. Walker Luncheon & Empowerment Forum. This year’s theme is: "Cultivating Our Legacy: Intentionally Building Our Future". Our goal is to provide an impactful and empowering experience that will motivate a transformation for all those that attend.

 

*A Day of Empowerment - Event Highlights*

 1) Empowerment Forum - Starts at 8:30am

The Empowerment Forum will include continentail breakfast and two 50 minutes workshops featuring emerging and established leaders addressing relevant topics.

2) The Business and Community Recognition Awards Luncheon - Starts at 11:30am

The Business and Community Recognition Awards Luncheon will honor four outstanding women in the areas of advocacy, entrepreneurship, corporate excellence and pioneer leadership. In addition, the luncheon will spotlight the 2019 Positive Steps Madam C.J. Walker Essay contest winner.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Oakland – Bay Area Chapter’s (NCBW-OBAC) mission is committed to providing programs that increase the participation of African American women in economic, civic, entrepreneurial, and human service arenas of their respective communities through education, scholarship, and collaboration.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Oakland – Bay Area Chapter’s (NCBW-OBAC) vision is to be the organization of choice for today’s African American Woman, who understands the needs of her community, and has the requisite skills to develop solutions:

  • To provide effective networks for African American women leaders.
  • To enable African American women to be a visible force in economic, social, and political arenas.
  • To assist the next generation of African American women, through role modeling and mentoring, to reach career opportunities unexplored.
  • To develop and position African American women in leadership roles within the community.
  • To recognize the historic achievements of African American women and teens.
