Event description

Description

Hosted by the Lansing Guild of the CMA – a Chartered Guild of the Catholic Medical Association, on the weekend of Laetare Sunday (4th Sunday in Lent), the Rose Mass is a celebration for renewing our commitment as Catholic healthcare professionals. After Communion, you will be invited to recite a Christian version of the Hippocratic Oath. The celebrant The Most Reverend Carl Mengeling, Bishop Emeritus, will also be offering a special blessing for your work in the healthcare field.

This year's celebration is on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Jackson. Mass will begin at 10:00am at St Mary Star of the Sea and will be followed by a ticketed lunch downstairs in Star Hall. Our speaker this year is Dr Janet E Smith, a Bioethicist and Professor at Detroit's Sacred Heart Seminary will discuss Being Faithful in an Age of Persecution.

This event is open to the public. The target audience is Catholic healthcare students, ALL Catholic healthcare professionals (nurses, doctors, pharmacists, PAs, dentists, physical and occupational therapists), and all those who work in community or public health and clergy -- not just doctors!

Buy your tickets early!
