Description
Set yourself up for success! Culinary instructor and food-on-the-go extraordinaire Cat Olson will show you how to stock your fridge with jars of goodness. We'll start our time together on the 21 Acres Farm gathering a few last minute ingredients, then head into the kitchen where the humble Mason jar takes center stage in this demo class focusing on preparing healthful meals for busy days. Whether you’re trying to eat more whole foods or just want to revamp your work lunch, Cat will help you hit the ground running with tips for getting better prepared. (Your colleagues will be envious when they see the delicious creations you bring for lunch!) Students will make fresh mayonnaise and use it to create classic dips and dressings for layered salads. Cat will walk you through a week’s worth of meals and everyone will make a breakfast jar to take home. Grain and sugar-free recipes with vegetarian options.
Instructor: Cat Olson
Cat has the ability to make a spontaneous gathering of friends feel like a party planned for months. She cooks with whole foods – often plucked from her garden – and simple recipes that always impress. Cat's classes are fun and full of great ideas for feeding your family. She has been a caterer and private chef, and is now a cook-from-home mom to 2-year-old Oscar; easily her most discerning palate to date. Her greatest joy is realizing there are enough tidbits left over in the fridge to put together a meal.
Registration is required in advance for culinary programs.
