Event description

Description

Commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with a celebration of our diversity!

20th Annual Human Rights Potluck Dinner and Live Music to celebrate 31 years of building bridges not walls in solidarity with the people of Latin America and the World.

Join us for a potluck and live music by Rumisonko, plus dancing and raffle of various items from Latin America.

Rumisonko plays traditional folk music of the Andes mountains of South America, especially from Bolivia. The deeply rooted yet original melodies are played in a variety of unique instruments of the native cutlures of the Andes. They will be presenting selections from their recently released CD Añoranzas.

Event is FREE and open to the public, but please bring a main dish to share. Donations are appreciated to help defray event costs and benefit the performers.

Co-sponsors: Friends of Latin America (formerly Howard County Friends of Latin America) and the Howard County Office of Human Rights.
