About this event
This year the VERY BIG VERY ASIAN COMEDY FESTIVAL 2023 (VBVA Comedy Festival 2023) will take place April 27-30, 2023. We can't wait and we're starting it early, who says you have to wait till May?
We are looking for the funniest AAPI Stand-Up comedians (Asian American, East Asian, Pacific Islander, South Asian, Southeast Asian, West Asian etc.) worldwide to come to NYC! This is a curated festival. We want to cast a very wide net so that we're able to include the best comedians in the business along with up-and-coming talent of the next generation! That's where you come in. Submit to be considered for the VBVA Comedy Festival 2023!
Last year we had comedians travel in from all over the world including the Philippines, California, Texas, Canada and more. Our festival sold out completely before it even began and it was the ultimate festival to be a part of. This year, it'll be bigger and more badass. You've been warned. On top of our industry showcases, we will have a kickoff party, industry panel, after party, live music and more!
Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Early submissions are encouraged. Once you are informed of a placement, you will have one week to confirm. If not, we will move onto the next alternative on the list.
Submission does not guarantee placement in the festival. This is not a ticket to a festival show, this is for comic submissions to be considered for the festival. Submission fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
