Patrons of the Big Chicken Chorus, are aware that we have presented Spring Concerts since 1986, in venues around the Greater Atlanta area. In 2023 we look forward to presenting our first Spring Concert at the Lassiter Concert Hall. If you are not familiar with this venue, you should know that it was designed to present musical concerts and is said to have acoustics that are extraordinary. The hall itself is worth the admission price for this concert.
This Spring Concert will also be our first under the Direction of Jonathan Riviere. Beginning at age 17 directing youth church camp singing, followed by completing a B.A. degree in Commercial Music at Florida State University, and directing Barbershop choruses in Tallahassee and Ft. Myers Florida, Jonathan arrived at the Big Chicken Chorus in May of 2022 at the ripe old age of 27 having 10 years of experience directing choral singers.
Our performance will include traditional music arranged in 4-part close harmony and performed by the Big Chicken Chorus, local Barbershop quartets - Classic Cuts and Quadraphonics. and returning from their crowd pleasing performance on our 2022 Christmas Concert will be Georgia Sensation the Sweet Adelines chorus from Peachtree Corners, GA.
The featured guest performers will be Duly Noted, an exciting, young Sweet Adelines International quartet, based in Fort Myers, FL and Canton, GA. Duly Noted began their career in 2019 by winning the title of Rising Star Champions, besting all other quartets with member ages 25 and under. In 2022, Duly Noted won the Region 9 Quartet Championship, then went on to reach 7th place in the International Sweet Adelines Contest in Phoenix, AZ.
At prices from $0 for pre-school children to $25 for VIP Seating, this is a show intended to put the entire family in the Spring Spirit at prices most families and individuals can easily afford.
The event will include reserved and open seating as well as discounts for "Early Bird" ticketing - prior to April 1, and for Seniors (age 55 +), Students (age 6-25), and Military (active and retired). Use Promo Codes: Senior; Student; or Military for additional discounted prices.
