2023 Annual Solar Eclipse Festival – Grapetown Vineyard & Farm – Fredericksburg, Texas
The Texas Hill Country and The Annual Solar Eclipse! Live Music. Camping. A fun, casual event in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country held at Grapetown Vineyard in Fredericksburg, Texas. On the day of the eclipse guests will be able to enjoy live music, food, drink, a great viewing area and limited vendors.
We are in the path of totality, and with great Hill Country views. Grapetown Vineyard may have one of the best views in Fredericksburg Texas. We have a great campout and celebration lined up for you to enjoy. Located 8 miles south of Fredericksburg, Texas we have the perfect spot in the path of totality. Eclipse day activities will include live music, food, drink activations and primitive camping! It typically takes 550 years for a total solar eclipse to pass over the same place twice in the Northern Hemisphere and 350 years in the Southern Hemisphere. This is the experience of a lifetime.
Camping will be allowed all week and throughout the weekend. The cost to camp is $50 per day, per space. Festivities for the Eclipse will be held on Friday October 13th, 2023 at Grapetown Vineyard and Farm with a large viewing area.
On October 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse begins over the Pacific Ocean and reaches the USA at Oregon. After passing through California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico, the path of annular solar eclipse bisects Texas. People near the middle of the path (such as Fredericksburg, Texas) of annular solar eclipse will see the dramatic view of the Sun as a brilliant ring for nearly five minutes.
Feel free to arrive early. Various options are available during the reservation process.
All tent campsites are 14×30 feet, RV campsites are 20×40 feet. Everything must fit inside this campsite space, including your vehicle and tent/RV/Camper. Does your RV require a longer space? We will have a limited number of larger spaces available. To reserve these, please call our booking office at (203) 829-1407
This is primitive camping. Campsites do not have electric, nor water hookups. RVs must be self-contained. Generators are allowed in the RV area of the campground, but not allowed in the primitive tent camping area. Whisper Quiet generators may be allowed in the tent area if they are truly quiet. Solar power is welcomed for all campsites. Pets are allowed but MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES.
Portable toilets will be located at each campground and throughout the festival area. Handwashing stations will also be available. The onsite restrooms will be open to campers.
Firewood bundles will be available for sall for campfires (depending upon local fire ban).
Campsite guests may bring outside food and beverages to their campsite.Outisde alcohol is not allowed due to TABC regulation. Alcoholic beverages are allowed at your campsite, and will also be available for purchase in the concert/festival area.

LOCATION ONE: Bankersmith Saloon and Dance Hall, 7905 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg, Texas in a historic Texas Ghost Town called Bankersmith, Texas! Handicap parking is available onsite but limited (come early).
LOCATION TWO: Grapetown Tasting Room and the Fredericksburg Polo Club, 8142 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624 on our 85 acre equestrian property! All Polo, Balloon, Helicopter Activations are here!
Weather Alert: A day in the Texas Hill Country can be 110 degrees or it can be 25 degrees. It can be calm, or 60MPH wind gusts. Please come prepared to enjoy this rain or shine event! The show will go on! If weather grounds the balloons due to unsafe winds or precipitation (which has happened in the past), the event will be held inside the Grapetown Vineyard Tasting Room with Helicopter Rides in lieu of Balloon Rides.
