About the organizer
The Smithsonian Women's Committee is a hardworking group of nearly 200 volunteers who each year produce two renowned signature events—the Smithsonian Craft Show and the Smithsonian Craft2Wear Show. Our events fund grants to support outreach, research and education programs across the Smithsonian’s 19 museums, nine research centers and the National Zoo. Formed in 1966, the Smithsonian Women’s Committee is dedicated to advancing the Smithsonian's mission to increase and diffuse knowledge. Our work has funded more than $12 million in grants and endowments since our founding.
