The Reaching Out MBA Student Leadership Summit brings together LGBTQ+ MBA student leaders from business school clubs across the country and the globe.

8:15 AM - REGISTRATION

9:00 AM - WELCOME & CLUB INTRODUCTIONS

10:15 AM - IMPACTING THE GREATER LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY - How can you connect your club to the broader community? Learn how to leverage events and activities in partnership with nonprofits, corporations, and other organizations to support the broader LGBTQ+ Community.

11:15 AM - BREAKOUT - DRUMMING UP NEW MEMBERS: ENGAGING WITH PRE-MBAs - In a time where MBA applications are rising, we have the potential to make our respective business school communities more diverse than they’ve ever been. But what is the best way for us to engage with pre-MBA LGBTQ+ students? Are there any takeaways from remote learning/work that we can leverage here?

11:15 AM - BREAKOUT - LGBTQ+ ADVOCACY & THE ROLE OF MBAs - LGBTQ+ MBAs need to be advocates and activists in an increasingly hostile social and political environment for LGBTQ+ folks. This session will review current legislation across states, discuss the context for this changing tenor, and provide MBAs with a workshop, tools, and action plan to make their schools, campuses, and communities driving forces for inclusion.

12:15 PM - LUNCH

1:30 PM - CLUB COMPETITION - The three club finalists will present their pitches in a chance to win $5000 for their club. All student club leader attendees will vote for the club of their choosing.

2:30 PM - ROMBA 25 PRESENTATION - Get the latest news about this year's ROMBA 2022 conference, taking place in DC October 6-8, from our student organizers and staff!

3:15 PM - LGBTQ+ LEADERSHIP: CREATING INCLUSIVE SPACES - Hear from a panel of speakers on how to be an inclusive leader within the LGBTQ+ community. This session will focus on how to be more inclusive towards members who aren't out.

4:15 PM - BREAKOUT - CASTING A TARGETED NET: STRENGTHENING ALUMNI CONNECTIONS

4:15 PM - BREAKOUT - ENGAGING ALLIES IN LGBTQ+ SPACES

5:15 PM - FINAL TAKEAWAYS AND WRAP UP - Reaching Out staff will share ways for club leaders to stay connected post-summit.

7:30 PM - DINNER - Join us for a final dinner for all Summit attendees at Mia Francesca's Lakeview at 3311 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657!

This year’s Club Leadership Summit will take place in Evanston, IL at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. We have secured a block of rooms at the Hilton Orrington/ Evanston, and the rate is $145/night + tax for a king bedroom and $155/night + tax for a 2 queen bed room.
