The Orcas Island Lit Fest (OILF) is an annual celebration of literature and community held in an inspiringly beautiful place. On June 2–3, 2023, we’ll bring together renowned authors and avid readers for two days of panels, readings, live music, and children's events that highlight the vibrant literary culture of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Our featured artists from across the country represent the finest in contemporary fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and more. OILF is your opportunity to engage with world-class writers and their work in an intimate, inclusive setting that welcomes everyone who loves books and good conversation. See you on the island.

How can I attend this event online?

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
There are no minimum age requirements for panel discussions, readings, or children's events. We have programming for all ages. No ID required except at The Barnacle tavern on our Lit Walk.
What are my transportation options for getting to and from the event?
Orcas Island is accessible only by Washington State Ferry or by plane.

What's the refund policy?
There are no refunds. However, tickets are transferable before registration. You may gift or sell your ticket to a friend. Once an attendee has registered at the festival, their ticket is no longer transferable.
Does a purchased ticket reserve my seat at every panel or conversation?
Daytime panels and events are general admission and seated on a first come, first served basis. Festival Pass holders are guaranteed seating to the Saturday Evening Main Event until 10 minutes prior to the performance.
