About this event
- 6 hours
- Mobile eTicket
The first March was held in 1970 one year after the Stonewall Uprising. It has since become an annual civil rights demonstration. Over the years its purpose has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect.
When Covid-19 affected our 2020 and 2021 Pride season plans, we scaled back our in-person March and placed a large focus on extending our virtual reach. We continued to highlight our community, representing our marching contingents, Grand Marshals, non-profit organizations, sponsors, small businesses, and activists via the NYC Pride Broadcast on WABC-7!
We returned to the streets for 2022, marching to celebrate our lives and our resilient community, and we are excited to continue this persistence during our 2023 season.
