It's been a long year and no one knows that more than our students. Having to complete their senior year remotely has been a real challenge but, as usual, our scholars were up to the task!
We are looking forward to the opportunity to introduce our amazing Lamp of learning students to you as they prepare to leave for universities across the country! You can also meet our great incoming junior class as well.
It will be a fun event full of fun speakers and even a surprise or two leading up to our $10,000 announcement!

About the organizer
The oldest philanthropic committee at the University Club is the Lamp of Learning. Now a full 501(c)3. Since its inception in 2004, the University Club has raised more than $175,000 and funded education for more than fifty students. The annual scholarship is open to qualified high school students throughout San Diego County that participate in the AVID Learning Program. AVID (Achievement via Individual Determination) students are often the first in their family to attend college and are often underrepresented in high education. The Lamp of Learning raises money and facilitates the interview process of these scholars.
