Join other caring Circuit 5 (Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion, Sumter) professionals as national, State and local experts address and discuss proactive efforts to raise awareness about the alarming epidemic of drug use among our treasured youth. Leaders who are actively engaged in “doing something” about this problem will also share the latest local patterns and trends, including the prevalence of fake pills that mimic legitimate medication but are often laced with fentanyl or methamphetamine. Are the vaping and marijuana industries here to stay? Regardless of the answer, demystifying the myths about these substances is a priority for the survival of our next generation. This year’s Circuit 5 Juvenile Justice Conference will culminate with a sign of hope as youth and young adults share their stories of survival and recovery. Register for this event and up your game in taking more action! Agencies and organizations from Circuit 5 will be available at the Community Fair to share their free resources throughout the day.
