The Computer Society Task Force for Rebooting Computing (TFRC) and the International Roadmap for Devices and Systems (IRDS) presents the virtual 2023 International Symposium on Roadmapping Devices and Systems (ISRDS).
Day1 videos highlight 2022 IRDS Roadmaps and any 2023 Updates
Day 2 videos present "New Directions in Computing" presentations from the IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC).
As part of attendance, you will have access to the videos and presentations for the sessions you register for. (either both days, or for only Day 1 IRDS or Day 2 ICRC.
Descriptions and programs are below.
Descriptions and Benefits
Day 1: “IRDS 2022 Roadmap Summaries and 2023 Updates”
The IRDS™ topics are a forecast of technology and systems characteristics, needed technologies, and capabilities of the microelectronics and systems industries. The intent is to focus on academic, manufacturing, supply, and research coordination regarding the development of microelectronic devices and systems. Visit us for more information about the IRDS and its roadmaps.
How you will benefit from Day 1:
- Find out more about the Computer Society Task Force on Rebooting Computing;
- Hear the latest 2022-2023 IRDS forecast of trends of systems and microelectronics that influence the devices and systems industry, challenges for success and needed collaborations;
- Talk to any of the speakers live during the Question and Answer sessions, and
- Learn how to become a part of these activities as a contributor and team member.
Day 2: "New Directions in Computing"
The IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing is the premier venue for novel computing approaches, including algorithms and languages, system software, system and network architectures, new devices and circuits, and applications of new materials and physics. This is an interdisciplinary conference that has participation from a broad technical community, with emphasis on all aspects of the computing stack. Visit rebootingcomputing.ieee.org for more information on the IEEE Rebooting Computing Initiative.
How you will benefit from Day 2:
- Find out more about the Computer Society Task Force on Rebooting Computing;
- Listen to key presentations from the International Conference on Rebooting Computing;
- Talk to any of the speakers live during the Question and Answer sessions, and
- Learn how to become a part of these activities as a contributor and team member.
The goals of the IRDS roadmaps are
- To identify key trends related to devices, systems, and all related technologies by generating a roadmap with a 15-year horizon
- To determine generic devices' and systems' needs, challenges, potential solutions, and opportunities for innovation
- To encourage related activities worldwide through collaborative events, such as related IEEE conferences and roadmap workshops
