Join Girl Up in Washington, D.C. for the 2023 USA Leadership Summit! This in-person event is part of our regional Leadership Summit Series, which brings Girl Up events worldwide. If you don’t live in the United States, don't worry - an event will be coming to a region near you later in 2023!
The USA Leadership Summit is open to U.S. residents, particularly students ages 13-24, and requires an application to attend. Space is limited, so be sure to apply as soon as you can. We will be reviewing applicants on a rolling basis. The first round of notifications will be sent on May 17th!
Girl Up’s USA Leadership Summit will bring together more than 150 youth changemakers from around the U.S., and promises to be an incredible two days of organizing and advocating for change at home and beyond! Don’t miss the opportunity to convene with your fellow youth activists, exchange ideas in girl-and-expert-led workshops, and get inspired by an incredible line-up of speakers advancing the movement for gender justice! After two days, you’ll leave with the knowledge, skills, and new friendships necessary to take your leadership skills to the next level.
Tuesday’s programming will feature keynotes and conversations with powerhouse leaders across the gender justice space and interactive workshops where you’ll learn how to further accelerate social change. On Wednesday, join a hands-on Day of Action workshop and develop your leadership skills to build and lead a global and intersectional movement for change.
The USA Leadership Summit will take place in person in Washington, D.C. and will include opportunities for engaging with attendees of Girl Up’s virtual Global Leadership Summit. Please indicate in your registration if you would like accommodations for a disability.
Can't make it to the in-person USA Leadership Summit? No worries! We will also be hosting a virtual Global Leadership Summit on June 27th. For more information, check out our Zoom Events page here!
