About this event
Is the farmers market your best sales outlet? Is it the right fit for your product? How, when and where do you start selling those oh-so-good cupcakes? Should you grow kale or collards, or both?
Those are great questions, and ones we hope to answer at our first ever Farmers Market Vendor Conference. We're turning the spotlight on the farmers, food producers and small businesses who power Ohio's farmers markets, and giving them the tips, tricks and tools they need to be successful in the direct-to-consumer, farmers market environment.
From licensing and proper labeling with the Ohio Department of Agriculture, to the best bang-for-your-buck marketing practices, our speakers and topics will speak directly to the needs of individuals and businesses selling at a farmers market.
As an added bonus, attendees can also register for "Selling at a Farmers Market," an online, peer-to-peer video training series produced by the Texas Center for Local Food. We are offering this series to attendees for only $10 (a $50 value). This three-part series includes "Selling at a Farmers Market for Beginners, Making Money at the Farmers Market, and Optimizing Your Impact at the Farmers Market" and will be available on January 19. Registration for this series is ongoing, and open to anyone, but special pricing is limited.
