Join the City of Bellevue and the Bellevue Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for our annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration and Health Fair! In order to protect the health of our community, we will be hosting this event on Zoom again this year. Together, we look forward to celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by centering individuals and organizations working to address the health disparities present within communities of color.
This year's theme is "Reinvesting in Health" and will include the following:
- Programming from community partners and local youth leaders to support your holistic wellbeing.
- Performances from local artists
- Remarks from City leaders
- Youth-led discussion on health and racial equity

About Our Partner
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 13, 1913, by twenty-two women at Howard University, a Historically Black College. The sorority focuses on service through five (5) programmatic thrusts: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness, Political Awareness and Involvement and Physical and Mental Health. The Bellevue Alumnae Chapter, established on January 28, 1989, has provided service to the eastside, King county, and Snohomish county communities through numerous programs and has produced the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Health fair for nearly 19 years. The legacy of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s founding members continues into the present as the sorority and its Bellevue Alumnae Chapter members stay committed to making our world a more equitable and just place in which to live through its commitment to public service.
