About this event

The Washington, D.C., Journalism Job Fair will bring together 24 national and local journalism organizations looking to recruit ambitious journalists with all levels of experience. It is open to students and working professionals alike seeking career opportunities at media outlets.

Ticket requirement: Tickets must be purchased in advance by March 24 and only ticket holders will be granted admission to the job fair. No tickets will be sold on the day of the event.

Covid restrictions: All attendees must provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19 in accordance with Georgetown University protocols. Additionally, all attendees are expected to follow the university's visitor and Covid policies. Attendees will receive instructions from Georgetown University via e-mail on how to provide the required documentation prior to the event.

Recruiters: 24 companies will recruit, including ABC News, Alexandria Times, Associated Press, Axios, Baltimore Banner, CBS News, CNN, Fox Television Stations, Industry Dive, McClatchy, NBC4/Telemundo44, Nikkei Asia, POLITICO, Reuters, S&P Global, Sinclair Broadcast Group, STAT News, Street Sense, The Washington Post, U.S. Agency for Global Media, Wall Street Journal, Washington Business Journal, Washingtonian, and WAMU

Hosts: The job fair is hosted by Georgetown University’s Master of Professional Studies in Journalism program, and organized in conjunction with the Washington, D.C., chapters of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Asian American Journalists Association, NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Journalism & Women Symposium.

Member admission: Current members of these journalism organizations have access to discounted ticket prices. Interested attendees who have been affected by recent media layoffs should contact their affiliate organization about additional financial assistance.
