Bring a “Potluck” Dish to Share!
The 2023 CGS Genie Awards will be presented on Saturday, June 10, celebrating the outstanding work of our volunteers during the 2022 National Genealogical Society Conference in Sacramento. Our volunteers will be recognized following the monthly 10 a.m. CGS Board Meeting. On the agenda is a potluck lunch (bring a favorite dish!) and a short presentation by Maureen Hanlon about 1898 Spanish American war records. The festivities will take place at the CGS Library, 2021 Broadway, Suite LL2, Oakland, CA. Parking is available on the street and behind the Bruener Building. The CGS Library is easily accessible from the 19th Street BART station. All CGS members are welcome! Questions? Contact Kathleen Beitiks kbeitiks@californiaancestors.org
For those attending in person: We are located in the historic Breuner Building at 22nd Street & Broadway, one block north of the Paramount Theater, in Uptown Oakland. We are just three blocks from the 19th Street BART Station. Further instructions will be included with your registration confirmation, including access to a parking permit in the lot behind our building. Masks are strongly recommended.
For those attending online: The event will take place via Zoom. If you join, please sign in early to make sure you are able to see the program. We will send you instructions the night before, and a reminder shortly before the event, which will give you access. Our remote classes now have live closed captioning.
You do not have to have a Zoom account to attend a Zoom meeting. You will be prompted to download the software, once you have clicked on the link that you have been provided. You may also wish to create an account, but that is not required to participate in a Zoom meeting.
This event is presented live. Some events may be recorded for internal use only.
See you at the library or online!
