About this event
Join me on a 60-minute walking tour exploring Chestertown’s Black history, culture, and legacy. Beginning at the waterfront and continuing into town, the African American History & Heritage Walking Tour covers 200 years of history. From the slave trade of the 1700’s, the free Black community of the early 19th century, and the flourishing cultural and music scene of the 20th, the tour will delve into Chestertown’s African American accomplishments and perseverence using local landmarks, signage, and stories.
- this tour covers several blocks, so please wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate attire
