Entertainment featuring De’Quela “Cookie” Payne was born and raised in Beloit, WI. She began her singing career at the young age of 3 years old; singing at New Zion Baptist Church. In 2006, she won a recording contract with EMI as the winning contestant on the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s “Gifted” competition. In 2011, she competed as one of the top 100 contestants on American Idol. We are excited this year to her musical performance at this year’s event.

The proceeds from this event provide annual scholarships to deserving young college students and enhance our partnership at Siefert Elementary School (Milwaukee Public Schools) through our literacy, arts, and health programs. We support international projects, such as providing tuition for a Zimbabwean student; sending supplies to those affected by Ebola in Africa; and partnered with Engineers Without Boarders to build a bridge in a Cameroon village in Central Africa.
