About this event

Sunset Sail on the Schooner Ardelle

Tuesday, August 23, 2022 | 6:00 PM (Sharp) - 8:00 PM

23 Harbor Loop -- Maritime Gloucester

Optional Post-Sail Dinner at Decklyn's, 31 Harbor Loop (pay-as-you-go)

Explore the beauty of Gloucester’s historic harbor under sail aboard the Schooner Ardelle, a traditional 58’ Gloucester fishing schooner built, owned and operated by National Heritage Fellow Master Shipwright Harold Burnham and his family.  Light snacks and cash bar will be available.

This is a family-friendly event, open to all HCMV and HCNS alumni and their guests. Please do not attend, however, if you are not fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. Masks are optional.

Optional, pay-as-you-go: After the sail we will gather for food and drink at Decklyn's (31 Harbor Loop), a scant 5 min. walk from the boat.

Please be on time. Tickets are non-refundable.  If the Ardelle does not sail due to weather or mechanical issues we will still gather for food, drink and merriment at Decklyn's at 6 PM.  In this case, event proceeds will be used for our dinner.  Any remaining reserves will be used as a contribution to club activities.

Approach Cape Ann via Route 128. Exit at the Grant Circle Rotary or at the end of Route 128 (Eastern Avenue Traffic Lights) and head to Harbor Loop and Maritime Gloucester.

Parking is available at the dock, on Rogers Street and on Harbor Loop. Please arrive 30 minutes early to secure parking, as it is limited.
