Summit on the research and teaching of Young Adult Literature: 3-day conference that is divided into two sections, research and pedagogy.
About this event
Aimed towards teachers, librarians, future educators, and readers, this conference provides three in-depth days of interactive breakout sessions to discuss teaching Young Adult Literature in Middle Level and High School classrooms. This year's conference will include an elementary children's literature strand.
Are you interested in supporting reading and readers? Then this is for you. Earn a certificate for 15 hours good toward Nevada Department of Education licensure.

Thursday, June 9: 10AM-7PM PST (3PM-7PM required for CCSD, 4 h)
Friday, June 10: 12PM-7:30PM PST (3:30PM-7:30PM required for CCSD, 4h)
Saturday, June 11: 9AM-4:30PM PST (7 h for CCSD)
Ticket Packages Available:
$150- Full 3 Day Ticket: Full registration for Presenters, Educators, Librarians, Students or other interested attendees (plus fee) includes refreshments and lunch on Friday. Note: Day 1 is virtual, Day 2 and 3 are in person at UNLV.
- Book purchases and book signing on Friday and Saturday, hosted by The Writer's Block.
- Links to the online sessions will be available the morning of June 9th and emailed to attendees. Sessions will NOT be recorded to allow for authentic conversation.
- Lunch on Saturday will be offered from Rachel's Kitchen on Saturday with gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.
- Parking is behind the Lied Library and in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage on Thursday and Friday for $5. Saturday parking is free.

*If you are a CCSD Middle or High School teacher or librarian you will be eligible for reimbursement of the core registration cost, but not the processing fee. You will have to attend a majority of the sessions and in each session fill out a brief google form that will verify and catalog your attendance and participation. The details of participation will be further developed.
