This week, the PROXY Spring Series presents a special pre-screening conversation with Palestinian refugees from Gaza, photographers and journalists Jehad al-Saftawi and Lara Aburamadan. They will share their exile experience, ways of finding familiarity in the new place they call home, and the work of their nonprofit, Refugee Eye.

Amin Nawabi's life has been defined by his past and a secret he’s kept for over 20 years. Forced to leave his home country of Afghanistan as a young child with his mother and siblings, Amin now grapples with how his past will affect his future in Denmark and the life he is building with his soon-to-be husband.

Presented by HERE FOR NOW, the FREE, Friday evening film screenings begin at dusk with ‘doors’ opening at 6:00 pm. Panel to begin promptly at 7:30pm with film to follow at sundown around 8pm.
