2022 Pathways to Wellness Conference
Event Information
About this event
This conference will be held on Zoom. Meeting link information will be added May 12.
Our theme is Finding Our Way Forward
At every level, from the decisions we make as individuals to the paths we lead as a society, moving forward is essential. Our speakers and our workshops will take this theme and make their presentations timely and valuable. Get an overview of all of our presenters here.
We have three excellent speakers who will talk about the situations they were in when they had to decide to move forward. Our keynote speaker is Marja Lee Freeman, a popular workshop presenter last year. She's back, and she'll kick off the conference. Kathleen Klawitter will be joining us to talk about the emotional and physical challenges she overcame after being struck by a speeding golf ball years ago. Dianna Taylor will tell the final story, about a moment and a question that changed her life. Learn more about our speakers
"The speakers were all excellent and helped me to gain new perspectives." -- from 2021 conference survey
We have an amazing lineup of seven workshops. We will hold each workshop twice, so every attendee can choose two workshop to go to. Mindfulness, Zumba, finding hope in the daily news, responding to overwhelming feelings, work-life balance, the power of past experience, and getting ready to rent--so much good stuff! "All were relatable and provided empowering topics." -- from 2021conference survey
And there's more. Peer recovery specialist Peter Galloway will reveal the stories behind two famous James Taylor songs. The power of music to heal and share friendship will come through.
And if you can, stay past our speakers, workshops and music. It will be your chance to talk about making and keeping friendships, background and information on peer recovery specialists, and also, the special bonds many people have with their pets.
This year's conference is our 21st annual celebration of mental health recovery. We hold this conference to meet the needs of people who are in recovery for mental health challenges or want to learn more about recovery. We welcome interested family members, professionals in the field--really, anyone who sees the value and power of recovery should register and join us.
