About this event

Meals on Wheels of NEPA is pleased to announce that we will host the 2022 Mix and Mingle for Meals on Wheels of NEPA on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm at Glen Oak Country Club in Clarks Summit, PA. This will be an exclusive indoor/outdoor COVID-friendly event (rain or shine), with LIMITED ticket sales. Mix and Mingle features gourmet cocktails, light dinner fare, raffle baskets, gift pull and jazz music by the Mark Montella Trio. The funds raised by this signature event directly support community programming initiatives that have a meaningful, and often life-saving, impact on clients across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Meals on Wheels of NEPA has continued to provide uninterrupted daily service to our clients with an unwavering commitment to quality and service – due largely to the dedication of staff and volunteers, strict adherence to public health protocols and financial support from our wonderful community. Despite the continuing challenges, the kitchen currently prepares 2,000 meals each day for delivery to elderly and disabled residents across the region.

During Mix and Mingle, we will honor Laura Ducceschi, President & CEO Scranton Area Community Foundation as recipient of our 6th Annual Founder’s Award for Philanthropy. Laura Ducceschi, a true community champion and visionary philanthropic leader, is a shining example of purposeful commitment to the community. Maureen Gray, Founder and Executive Director of the NEPA Youth Shelter, works tirelessly to promote and serve our community, is the recipient of The 6th Annual Elaine F. Shepard Award for Exceptional Volunteerism.
