About this event
The Howard County Cup Races take place annually on the first Saturday in May at Pleasant Prospect Farm in Brookeville, MD. The race meet showcases one of Maryland's most historic sports, horse racing over the open countryside while jumping over natural fences. Spectators enjoy an outdoor party, vying for, "Best Tailgate Awards" while cheering on the horses and riders.
Schedule:
8:00 am - Gates Open for Railside set up
10:00am - Gates open for spectators to set up general tailgates
11:00 am - Vehicles out of Paddock area
12:30 pm - Opening Ceremonies and Parade of Hounds. Tailgate judging begins
1:00pm - Post time - Let the Races Begin!
4:00 pm - Event Concludes
