About this event
This event will give Georgians with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and community members the opportunity to hear from candidates running for the offices of Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, State Superintendent of Schools, Attorney General, Labor Commissioner, State Insurance Commissioner and US Senator for Georgia as they speak on issues important to the disability community. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn about voting accessibility, and what to expect when you go to the polls this November.
This will be a hybrid event with virtual and in-person opportunities to participate. This event is free and open to the public, refreshments will be served, and registration is required. There is limited seating for in-person attendees. Register for the forum now to secure your seat.

COST: Free to the public but registration is required.
Invited candidates include those running for the following offices:

FAQs
Are there ID requirements to enter the event?
For those attending the event in-person, we ask that you bring photo identification. You will need it to pass through security.
Are there COVID-19 guidelines for the event?
- Masks are recommended but not required for in-person attendees. GCDD will have disposable masks and hand sanitizer available.
- We ask that you participate virtually if you are not feeling well or have tested positive for COVID-19 within five (5) days of the event.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The event is being held at the Courtyard by Marriott Decatur Hotel and Conference Center located at 130 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, Georgia 30030.
DRIVING/PARKING:
Guest parking is located in an underground lot beneath the hotel with elevator access directly to the event ballroom lobby.
MARTA:
Take the Blue line to the Decatur MARTA Transit station. The Courtyard by Marriott Decatur Hotel and Conference Center is 0.2 miles from the station. Exit from the Church Street entrance. Turn left on Church Street for one block, left on E. Ponce de Leon Avenue, then right on Clairemont Avenue. The hotel is on the left side of Clairemont Avenue 1/2 block down.
