About this event
Downtown Lexington is excited to host the Freedom Food Festival on Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 5-10pm. The event kicks off the Independence Week with a community street and music festival on Main Street. The Freedom Food Festival is admission-free, making it an affordable, family-friendly celebration. Gather with friends and neighbors to enjoy live music, beer & wine from your favorite eateries, and tasty July 4th picnic-style fare prepared by local celebrity chefs.
**** IMPORTANT! Bring your Meal Ticket/QR Code to the Festival! ****
Please print out your meal ticket and bring it with you to the festival. To redeem your meal, cook-off food vendors will scan the QR Code on your meal ticket. If you purchased multiple meal tickets, print out copies so each person can take their ticket to the food vendor of their choice. Once the QR Code has been scanned the same number of times as the number of tickets purchased, the QR Code will become invalid.
Not into paper? Be prepared to show the meal ticket QR Code on your phone. BUT, keep in mind YOUR phone will have to redeem all meal tickets purchased—meaning you'll be standing in multiple lines instead of enjoying the festival—unless you share your QR Code electronically with your other guests.
However you choose to redeem your meal ticket, you MUST have a QR Code.
