About this event

The Arc of Philadelphia, KenCrest, PA Representative Joe Hohenstein, and Temple University's Institute on Disabilities present the 2022 Disability Summit, focused on Enabling Technology.

In 2020 the Arc of Philadelphia and Representative Joe Hohenstein launched the first Philadelphia Disability Summit, focused on ADA's 30 year anniversary. This year’s conference highlights enabling and assistive technologies; as well as adaptations and smart devices, that create greater independence for people with disabilities.

The Summit features a keynote address by Dr. Shea Tanis, Associate Research Professor at the Kansas University Center on Excellence in Developmental Disabilities; along with breakout tracks from various leaders in the ET field, and a public legislative hearing to advocate for assistive and enabling tech.
