Your Experience

Your dinner experience will include a feast for the eyes, thanks to the innovative tablescapes featuring all local flowers and foliage designed by renowned American event designer, Shawna Yamamoto of Shawna Yamamoto Event Design. We are happy to share her special story so you can “get to know her” a bit more before the dinner.  We are lucky to have her and her creativity to bring The Flower Fields dinner to light. You’ll also enjoy a multi-course artisan meal prepared by the chefs of Crown Point Catering using only fresh and seasonal ingredients. Each course will be expertly paired with wines from the nearby Temecula Valley Winegrowers. The Flowers

Alive with blooms, the hillside where the farm is located overlooking the Pacific Ocean is one of the most spectacular and coordinated displays of natural color and beauty anywhere in the world. The Flower Fields farm is the home of the Tecolote® Giant Ranunculus, also known as the Persian buttercup or Ranunculus asiaticus. Incredibly colorful and beautiful, the ranunculus flower is native to Asia Minor and is a member of the Buttercup family.

The Flower Fields

The Flower Fields in Carlsbad, just north of San Diego, is owned by the Ecke family, known throughout the United States for its contributions to the floriculture industry and the commercial cultivation of the poinsettia.

The Ecke Family has formed a partnership with Mellano and Company to create an example of successful agritourism at The Flower Fields. Due to their continued benevolence and foresight, The Flower Fields will continue to be a national jewel, an attraction enjoyed for future generations.

The site covers 50 acres of hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean and is planted, farmed and harvested by Mellano & Company. Over 100,000 people tour The Flower Fields each year, but you’re invited to be one of just a handful of people who will get to experience a dinner in the middle of the farm.

Because of its spectacular views and array of blooms, The Flower Fields is the only farm The American Grown Field to Vase Dinner Tour has returned to over multiple years.

As the COVID-19 pandemic is ever-changing, we’ll continue to monitor information and keep you informed. The required protocols will be in followed for the safety of our guests and staff. Proof of vaccination status or negative COVID test may be required for entry.

If an American Grown Field to Vase Dinner must be postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ll reschedule, and all ticket purchases will be honored for a future date. If a guest is unable to attend the rescheduled dinner, we’ll issue a credit for the original purchase amount to be used toward another Field to Vase Dinner of their choice.
