Experience birding and nature on the beautiful Gulf Coast at the 18th Annual Alabama Coastal BirdFest.

About this event

Join us September 28 - October 1 for Alabama Coastal BirdFest - birding and nature festival!

Registration will close on Monday, September 19, at 11:59 pm CDT!

We’ve added new trips to our lineup with opportunities to see birds, alligators, wildflowers, and other wildlife—and learn about their habitats. We also offer seminars at 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center on basic and advanced birding, hummingbirds and avian conservation, building different bird boxes, how to use birding apps such as the Merlin Bird ID app, and a workshop on nature photography. Offsite workshop will include how to build a backyard habitat for wildlife.

BirdFest trips adventure along the 200-mile Alabama Coastal Birding Trail throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties, exploring bird and wildlife hotspots such as Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, Weeks Bay, the Mobile-Tensaw Delta, Bayou La Batre, Forever Wild Grand Bay Savanna, and new this year, a trip to our neighbors at the Mississippi Sand Hill Crane National Wildlife Refuge.

Take a look at the entire schedule HERE and then plan your BirdFest adventure!
