Keynote Presentations
The Hidden Path to Greatness: The Ultimate Formula for Breakthrough Learning and Creativity
For generations, we’ve been taught there are two ways to succeed—either from talent or practice. In this groundbreaking discussion, Dr. Friedman shatters the myths of top performance and describes a powerful third path—one that has quietly launched icons in a wide range of fields, from artists to athletes, chefs to entrepreneurs: reverse engineering.
Ron Friedman is an award-winning psychologist who has served on the faculty of several prestigious colleges and universities and has consulted for political leaders, nonprofits and many of the world’s most recognized brands. Popular accounts of his research have appeared in major newspapers, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, the Globe and Mail, and The Guardian, as well as magazines such as Harvard Business Review and Psychology Today.
Living to 100: Eat, Move, and Connect Like the World's Blue Zones
Come along on a journey to the world’s blue zones—nine longevity hot spots. Find out what we can learn from them and how we can apply these lessons to cities of all sizes and structures. Blue Zones Project work creates the same set of values across the life radius of individuals, communities and worksites in North Dakota.
Danny Buettner, son of Blue Zones author and founder Dan Buettner, is currently a Blue Zones National Spokesperson and Director of Solutions for Blue Zones Projects© and Blue Zones Brands Real Estate©.
Applying Longevity Lessons to Bring Health and Happiness to Work
Discover how ancient practices can be applied to a modern worksite. This session will synthesize much of the information covered across the conference while applying the lessons and goals of Blue Zones principles at the worksite. Learn how to build an effective set of strategies for promoting well-being in your workplace.
Nick Buettner is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Blue Zones Project in all of the Blue Zones communities and corporate sites. He is also a National Speaker, Blue Zones expedition member and ed-tech innovator.
