Join HBCU ALUMNI ABROAD in Washington DC to witness the inauguration ceremonies of President Joseph Biden Jr. and Vice President Kamala D. Harris. As my grandmother would say, "Name It and Claim It" and VOTE. This ceremony is merely one part of the 4-days and 3-nights events, including: parties, balls, and the official parade. Hotel accommodations are located within nine to six miles from Capitol Hill.

The inauguration ceremony will take place on the front west wing side of the US Capitol. For an up-close view of the event contact your United States Senator or United States Representative to request free tickets through their office. It is not required for you to have attended an HBCU to join us on this experience.

Due to the coronavirus the outdoor event will look different from previous ceremonies. A face covering is required for all events and social distancing measures will be in place. Inauguration planning is still underway and program events are subject to change.

Road closures will be in effect for security reasons. The best way to get around during the inauguration is walking, bike sharing, or taking the metro.

What's included in 2021 Inauguration Package

Monday, January 18 to Thursday, January 21

DOUBLE: $745 per person (2 people in room)

TRIPLE: $640 per person (3 people in room)

QUAD: $530 per person (4 people in room)

SINGLE: $ 1,250 per person ( 1 person in room)

PAYMENT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE

Deposit amount is included in the total cost of the package (all deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE after November 4, 2020). Within 10 days of receiving the first roommate’s deposit all roommates’ deposits must be made to confirm room accommodations. (Ex. If a quad occupancy is selected and deposits have only been received from 3 named roommates your accommodation will be confirmed as a triple and price will be adjusted).

Once the deposit is made you will be contacted by email requesting the individuals name in the group and a point of contact. PAYMENT PLANS ARE AVAILABLE. All payment plans are broken up into 2 PAYMENTS and must be paid in full by 12/5/2020. All payments are paid through eventbrite and subject to a processing fee.

ALL Packages MUST be 100% paid in full by Monday, December 5, 2020 or payment and reservation will be at risk of forfeiture.

Refundable deposit is available until Nov. 4, 2020 after this date refunds are no longer available.

Terms and Agreements:

Before making a payment, please understand that due to strict contractual obligations, all deposits and payments are NON-REFUNDABLE after November 4, 2020. By making payments on any of the packages, you the Customer are agreeing to ALL the terms, and you understand the cancelation policy. HBCU Alumni Abroad is an organizer for suppliers in travel-related services or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by this group (such as ground transportation, hotel accommodations, meals, tours, etc.). This group, therefore, shall not be responsible for breach of contract of any intentional or careless actions or omissions on part of such suppliers, which results, in any loss, damage, delay, or injury to you or your travel companions or group members. Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason, including weather, deployment, personal or medical emergencies. There are no exceptions to this policy.

HBCU Alumni Abroad wishes you the best time during this historic event and understand that unexpected circumstances happens. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect your travel plans. Hotel will require a credit card on file for incidentals.
