Creative Work Force Initiative

Through our annual Summit, Creative Workforce Journal, and Pipeline Programs, NYWIFT promotes systemic change in the media and entertainment industry by educating, connecting, and advocating for all women.

NYWIFT Scholarships

The NYWIFT Scholarship Fund was established in 1995. NYWIFT provides scholarships each year to a second-year female film student at the Brooklyn College Feirstein School of Cinema, City College of New York, Columbia University, New York University, and the Stony Brook/Killer Films MFA in Film program. Prizes are also given to two undergraduate students from Hunter College and Brooklyn College.

The Sabrina Wright-Gilliar Award honors the memory of the legendary prop master Wright-Gilliar and is given to a female high school senior graduating from the Academy for Careers in Television and Film (TvF) in Queens, NY.

NYWIFT Emerging Professionals Program


With your support in 2022, NYWIFT is launching this new initiative for professionals, which begins with a VIP invitation to Muse and continues throughout the year with special access to NYWIFT programs and events. Participants are selected from our partner organizations.

All contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
