About this event

The 2021 Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights is open nightly Thursday, November 11, 2021, through Sunday, January 2, 2022, including all holidays. Enjoy even more lights this year as Meadowlark Botanical Gardens sparkles with displays of flowers, animals, wrapped trees, and winter holiday scenes.

1. Every person, ages 2 and older, must have a ticket (excluding appreciation night honorees and kids buy one, get one free nights).

2. Tickets are nonrefundable. The Winter Walk of Lights is a 0.6 mile walk completely outdoors and remains open during rain and snow. If NOVA Parks cancels a night of the Winter Walk of Lights due to severe weather, ticket costs will be refunded. Eventbrite’s ticket transaction fees are nonrefundable.

3. Be certain to apply any promo/discount code when selecting your entry time, before you proceed to checkout. Tickets will not be refunded to be repurchased with a discount. The discount amount will not be refunded after tickets are purchased.

4. Prior to 2:00 p.m. on the date of the ticket date, a ticket may be transferred to another date or entry time on a computer. Tickets cannot be transferred using the Eventbrite app or on a mobile device. Purchases/orders of more than one ticket cannot be transferred as an entire order. Tickets must be transferred individually and then will be in separate orders.

5. Tickets are purchased for a specific date and also for specific entry time. Ticket holders may not be admitted prior to their ticket’s entry time or beyond 30 minutes past the entry time.

6. Eventbrite ticket transaction fees are nonrefundable.


Ticket quantities are limited online and onsite.

Tickets are sold for specific entry times (every 15 minutes.)

*ONSITE TICKETS ARE NOT SOLD AFTER DECEMBER 9, 2021, and when online tickets are sold out for an entry time(s).

Admission to the Winter Walk of Lights ends at 9:30pm.



• Discount/promo/coupon codes are only valid November 11 through December 9, 2021, excluding Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Thanksgiving Day. Be sure to watch the how-to video prior to your purchase to ensure you apply your code. Promo codes and other discounts may not be applied after purchase.

• Patrons arriving early should stay in their vehicles until their tickets’ entry time. Congregating in the Visitor Center is not permitted.

• A HELPFUL NOTE ABOUT YOUR TICKETS' ENTRY TIMES: On your Eventbrite ticket, your entry time is noted in the TICKET NAME, not the Event Start Time. For example: "6:30pm Admission"

All tickets are final sale and are non-refundable. Tickets may be transferred to a different date/time prior to the entry time of the ticket. The availability of tickets for another date and time is not guaranteed. Tickets should be transfer prior to 2:00 p.m. on the ticket’s date. To transfer a ticket to another date and/or time, customers should go to their tickets at Eventbrite.com and select the order to be changed. EDIT/TRANSFER will be to the right. Click on TRANSFER and follow the prompts to select a new date ("event") and session time. This has to be done separately for each ticket. Ticket cannot be transferred after the ticket’s entry time. Transferring ticket dates and times is not available through the Eventbrite app or on mobile devices. Watch the video for detailed instructions.


NOVA Parks and Meadowlark Botanical Gardens continue to follow Virginia and Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.

• Guests will not be allowed to congregate outside the entrance, inside the Visitor Center, or throughout Winter Walk. We encourage you that if you are meeting others that you coordinate a meeting point in the grass areas near the parking lot and do not join the line to enter until all guests in your party arrive.

• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering when inside buildings.

• The Winter Walk is a one-way trail.

• Please remain in your vehicle until your ticket’s entry time.

• Please practice social distancing when waiting in line and in the Winter Walk.

• To expedite entry, please have your digital tickets pulled up on your device with your brightness maximized. Paper tickets are also permitted.

LIGHT UP WANDS, SABERS, HEADBANDS & ACCESSORIES and our annual Winter Walk of Lights ornament will be available for purchase in the Sips, Sweets & Sparkles Shop.

SIPS, SWEETS & SPARKLES SHOP: Hungry? Looking for a hot beverage? Stop by the SIPS, SWEETS, AND SPARKLES SHOP. Warm up with hot chocolate, coffee, (adult beverages will also be available. ID required.) S`mores, candy, snacks and other treats are also irresistible options! Cash, VISA, AMEX and MasterCard are accepted. Outside food and beverages are prohibited.

RESTROOMS are available in the Visitor Center and portable toilets are located at the halfway point of the Walk.

WEATHER: Be advised, this is an outdoor rain, snow, or shine event. Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are transferable to another date prior to the event ticket time only.

PARKING is free! Please look for guests, especially small children, walking through the parking lots.

SAFETY: Please stay on the pathways at all times. Many light displays have electrical cords and support wires so please do not walk near or around displays. Please refrain from touching, climbing, or hanging on any displays or cords. If you see something unsafe, please let staff know immediately.

GREAT PHOTOS: Winter Walk is a beautiful place to take pictures! Bring your camera and capture memories! Be sure to tag us and post your photos on social media! Please stay on the paths for your safety.

PETS? Only Service animals are permitted at the Winter Walk of Lights and must follow leash laws. (Exception: 3 Dog Nights--November 17 & 18 and January 2. Dogs and handlers must purchase tickets at Eventbrite.com.)

HOLIDAYS: Winter Walk of Lights is open on all holidays---that’s Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Day, and News Eve & Day! After your big holiday meal, why not take a walk among the beautiful lights? Buy your tickets online early.
