About this Event

Let Every Woman Know - Alaska's 9th annual Gynecologic Cancer Awareness & Arts of Healing Weekend is happening virtually during the final weekend in January 2021!

Registration is free & you must register here on Eventbrite to receive access to our online event platform, Socio, for all the weekend's events.

All are welcome to attend: survivors, patients, caregivers, family, friends, and providers! Invite those in your community who may be interested. If you have friends and family attending from different households, please have them register separately to receive access.

On the Socio platform, you can access the weekend agenda, connect and network with other attendees, navigate to event video streams, read up on sponsor information and resources, and more through the computer web based platform or the smart-phone app. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you when you complete registration.

The Events

Art: Donated art can be viewed in person, starting January 26th, at the Georgia Blue Gallery during their business hours (open Tuesday - Saturday 11 am - 4 pm). Art can also be viewed and purchased at our online store through Socio Tuesday, January 26th at 11 am until Sunday, January 31st at 4 pm. Featuring artists whose lives have been touched by cancer, 100% of proceeds from designated pieces will go directly to GYN cancer awareness and support.

Education: This year's Gynecologic Cancer Education Course will be held virtually on Saturday, January 30th from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm. This course is FREE and open to all cancer survivors, loved ones, caregivers, friends, and anyone interested in hearing from 12 leading U.S. experts in gynecologic cancers. The 12 short talks cover a variety of topics relating to GYN cancer from gynecologic oncologists from around the nation. The day consists of sessions on Pandemic-era Cancer Care, Innovations in Prevention, Hope for the Cure, and Living Vibrantly with Cancer.

Interspersed through the day will be a series of four Movement sessions to introduce you to chair yoga, bone density exercises, mindfulness, and Zumba and show the power of movement both physically and mentally and that it is accessible for all levels. Accredited CME is available through Providence.

Music: Celebrate hope and healing at the virtual 2021 Rhythm Heals Song Circle! Let Every Woman Know-Alaska is pleased to offer this concert free of charge! The concert will take place on Saturday, January 30th from 6:30 pm- 8:30 pm and features Alaskan artists Emma Hill, Nick Carpenter and Jamie Whiteman. Thank you to That Feeling Co for generously donating their space to make this live-streamed concert possible.

Celebration of Life: On Sunday, January 31st from 10 am – 11:30 am, we will gather virtually to honor and celebrate the couragous women who we’ve lost to gynecologic cancers in 2020.

We look forward to seeing you for this year's virtual events! Contact us at leteverywomanknow@gmail.com with any questions.
