About this event
The 2021 Global Conference on Health & Climate Change with a special focus on Climate Justice and the Healthy and Green Recovery from COVID-19 will convene at the margin of the COP26 UN climate change conference. The aim of the conference is to call on governments, businesses, institutions and financial actors to drive a green, healthy and resilient recovery from COVID-19. The Conference will support and highlight climate action recommendations that promote and protect health. It will also mobilize the rapidly growing movement of health professionals around the world who are now driving ambitious climate action. And it will generate cross-sectoral dialogue focused on integrated solutions for a green, just and healthy future.
The conference has a fully developed hybrid program, with participation both online, and in-person at the Glasgow Caledonian University. If you will already be in or near Glasgow on November 6th we encourage you to apply to attend in person. Space for the in-person event is limited, so we will confirm your attendance based on registration numbers, and to support diverse and cross-sectoral participation.
We are nearly at capacity for our in person event in Glasgow and we are holding the remaining spaces for participants in sectors other than health. If you are a journalist or you work in a sector other than health (cities, transportation, finance, food systems, energy etc) and you would attend the conference in person, please email justine.ward[at]climateandhealthalliance.org.
