2021 Fall Smoker - University Club

The last 18 months have been unusual for everyone to say the least. We held a Smoker in 2020 on campus that was just a few alumni. It was a significant change from the 120+ people event we have become accustomed to, but we wanted to keep the tradition going even through the tough times. We are now happy to announce that this fall we will have a large in-person event.

You are cordially invited to attend the Alpha Epsilon Alumni Smoker for Fall 2021 on Friday November 12th, 2021. Cocktail hour 7-8PM, Dinner 8-10PM.

The event will be held in Cathedral Hall at the University Club of Chicago. The venue has a gorgeous interior (the IIT crest you see in the photo above actually hangs in the hall) with a spectacular view and the food among the best private dining spots in the city.

As with everything else post 2020, some things had to change: The event is off-campus, and while we know many of you enjoy returning to see what has changed since your time as a student, the school is not currently holding external events of this size yet. There will be no smoking at the venue. However, we will be holding a reception the next day (Saturday 11/13/2021) at 7PM at the Chapter house at IIT with appetizers/refreshments and cigars to smoke outside. We are excited to see you all back and have opted to keep the event free this time, however we rely on generous donations to keep events going so please feel free to donate via Zelle (pay@aepks.com).

Lastly, to keep our brothers and their loved ones safe, only vaccinated guests will be admitted to the event. Masks, regardless of vaccination status, are required upon entry to the venue until you reach the dining hall.

Coat and tie/Cocktail Dress.

Getting there:

We encourage you to use public transportation (CTA, Rideshare...etc.) to get to the venue. Conveniently located in the Loop, a short walk away from CTA (Monroe) Red line station or CTA (Washington/Wabash) Pink, Green, Brown, Orange lines station.

Closest car parking option is the Millennium Park North Garage (parking is not included). As always, please enjoy this event responsibly and we ask that you please do NOT drink and drive.
