This year's theme is "Reaching for our goals" - an Olympics-inspired event. So join us for an evening filled with festivities, food, entertainment, and friendly competition, while supporting a good cause!

 

In the spirit of the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, the event will include:

Buffet dinner of Japanese favorites catered by Kubota Restaurant

Back by popular demand - sumptuous dessert bar

Games and activities suitable for all ages

Performances by Yu-Ai Kai Senior Taiko and Yu-Ai Kai Senior Dancers

Raffe and fundraising opportunities

"Tokyo Gorin Ondo" Dancing Finale led by Reiko Iwanaga (Hanayagi Reimichi)

and more!

 

Dress in casual / athletic gear or Happi coats.

FAQs

 

What time does the buffet serving line close?

The serving line closes at 6:30 PM

Where can I find parking?

There will be limited parking in the middle of 5th Street between Taylor St. and Jackson St.  Also street parking wherever available.  Metered parking effective until 6 PM.

The name on the registration / ticket does not match the attendee.  Is that okay?

Yes, only the purchaser of a ticket or in the case of multiple tickets on an order will appear on the printed ticket(s).  Just bring your printed ticket(s) and we will check you in based on the contact information of the ticket purchaser.  For a Table of 8, everyone should check-in under the name of the purchaser of the table.

What is the fair market value of goods and services for this event?

The estimated fair market value of the goods and services provided by this event is $25 per person ($200 for a table of 8).  Federal Tax I.D. 94-2427398

Yu-Ai Kai Senior Center, a nonprofit senior center located in San Jose's historic Japantown, is committed to serving seniors with an array of activities, programs, and services.

We offer a senior day care program, a well-balanced nutritious lunch service, social services, and a variety of classes, activities and trips for seniors, all designed to enable healthy aging.

Serving our seniors with Friendship & Love since 1974,  Yu-Ai Kai currently serves 3,000+ seniors annuallyWhile our roots are in Japanese / Japanese American culture and tradition, the programs and services are open to any senior in our community.
